Project Description
My mom, Joann Keye needed a heart transplant, whereby she had a few open heart surgeries and received a defibrillator. After having heart attacks registering massive and her oxygen levels were extremely low, my mother went into the hospital.
Living in the hospital(Lutheran) for months, from October through January. Finally.... my mom received a heart and because of antibodies of blood transfusions, things went dramatically wrong, dramatically fast. We went from excitement to losing her in a matter of hours.
I've spent thousands of dollars paying for prescriptions that were necessary to extend her health and life. I spent thousands keeping unleashed and vicious animals out of her yard and money to update some things in her home to qualify for the transplant. I have reached capacity, as my new wife who is unemployed and recently gave birth to my first son and my mom's only grandchild.
Losing my mom has been devastating, as I was her only child, only son. Now my son is without a grandmother. As I am still in mourning, I still have the house that my mother resided in. Her fiance was to assume the payments and continue to dwell there. Suddenly he has changed his mine(moving into a senior community) and now another mortgage has fallen on to me.
I would like to sell the house and I am NOT trying to make any profit, as my mother meant so much more than having a few extra dollars. I am not able to repair the necessary, electrical, paint and flooring that needs to happen so that we may place the house in this unstable economy and buyer's market of houses.
My wife, family, friends and myself are willing to help along the side of any help that we receive. However, none of us a qualified or have the experience to do the repairs alone.
Please, help me, as my mother is now gone, but has life a financial burden. My mother was a beautiful woman and helped others and she is being remembered as such. I hope that her generosity to others will finally be extended to her.
Thank you in advance.
Most Sincerely,
James Lewis
