STAFF

 Andrew HoffmanExecutive Director

Andrew became the NeighborLink Executive Director in 2008 after starting out as volunteer in the organization back in 2005. A graduate from Huntington University, Andrew started his career in advertising creating several pro-bono advertisements for local Christian organizations. After discerning his career goals, he decided to make NeighborLink home. His vision for the company continues to allow NeighborLink’s mission of practical neighbor-to-neighbor expressions of God’s love to grow. Launching Team NeighborLink in 2011, establishing the NeighborLink Network in 2008, and completing over 950 projects in 2012, demonstrate Andrew’s leadership in developing NeighborLink’s mission.

Ryan Schnurr, Videographer

Ryan studied Film & Communication at Huntington University. Contributing his talent with film at NeighborLink since fall of 2012, Ryan helps in telling the NL story.  He continues to aid in propelling NL’s mission by communicating its message through videos profiling actual projects in action. The Birthday Campaign series, and the Small Things series can also be attributed to Ryan. The opportunity to connect with someone else’s story and then being able to help each other with specific needs is beneficial and Ryan believes that NeighborLink facilitates that relationship very well.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

John Barce, Barrett & McNagny LLP

Joe Johns, Fellowship Missionary Church

Joe’s ongoing passion for service aids the growth of the NeighborLink community.  Currently the director of Missional Living at Fellowship Missionary Church, Joe applies his skills in discipleship while teaching others how to integrate the loving ways of our savior, Jesus Christ, into their lives.  He expresses his love and appreciation of NL by explaining, “Serving with NLFW is such an adventure. Every posting on the site represents a potentially transformative encounter for both neighbors—the one loving and the one being loved. Few organizations exist that empower such unique relational encounters.”

Brett Meyer, Red Hat

Brett works as a software engineer at Red Hat and serves NL as a board member, a coach, and a web developer of the NL website. His technical leadership in the development of the new NL web platform will bring a clean, fresh look to the NL website in the fall of 2013. Brett continues his involvement because, “NLFW fosters real relationships and real communities.  It's not a passive organization to throw money at.  It requires the “dirty work”, engagement with those around you, and accomplishing Christ-mandated missions.”

ADVISORY GROUP

Keith Albachten is active both on the Volunteer Experience committee and as a coach for NeighborLink projects.  His specific expertise includes anything dealing with security, general handyman jobs, and leading groups.  Keith loves that NeighborLink is focused on fulfilling the “Jerusalem” part of our Lord’s Great Commission because churches so often forget about the mission field right in their own backyards.

Steve Binkley serves as an advisor and a volunteer coach. He contributes his strong home repair skills as well as his ability in connecting with volunteers and the neighbors we serve. Steve appreciates the way NeighborLink gives you the freedom to choose volunteerism.

Bishop Brown volunteers his time as a Web Advisory Committee member.  He donates his time as a carpentry, plumbing, and HVAC specialist. He attends Resurrection Lutheran church and works for Weigand Construction as the BIM manager. Bishop became involved with NL because he loves that it is Christ focused and calls us to actively meet and serve our community in one-on-one relationships.

Matthew Floor contributes his time with NeighborLink as part of the Advisory board. He continues to involve his family in projects throughout the community. He appreciates that NeighborLink is active in the community without all the red tape.

John French teaches at Grace College Fort Wayne and serves as member of the Advisory board.  His involvement stems from the mission of NeighborLink focusing more on seeing people for who they are while serving rather than accomplishing tasks.

Milisa Johnson has been involved in the Volunteer Experience committee for the past seven years.  She attends Good Shepherd United Methodist Church and is currently employed at Supply Technologies. Milisa is thankful for the opportunity to reach out to those in her community by touching and changing lives one by one.

Andy Kurzen has been involved with NL for the past year as part of the Communication Committee. Currently working at Frost Illustrated, Andy contributes his graphic design skills to help NL spread its mission. He loves how NL makes creative use of technology to connect people lacking resources to people with extra resources.

Ed Messer has been involved with NeighborLink for the past two years. Ed contributes his past contracting experience with specific skills set in dry wall and carpentry. Beyond that, he helps advise TeamNeighborLink in team formation and planning. Ed loves how the monies donated to NL go directly where they are needed and how volunteers are directly in contact with those they serve.

Patrick Reinke recently joined the NL family and serves as an advisory board member.  Currently the pastor at Triple Pointe Church, he helps NL think through its great mission.

Jeff Shatto has been serving as a volunteer, coach, and advisory member for the past 8 years.  A member of Fellowship Missionary Church, Jeff enjoys doing lawn and moving projects with NL. He is thankful for the opportunity NL offers him to serve his neighbors right here in Fort Wayne.
